Gonzalo Duque Memorial

Gonzalo Duque was an inspiration to so many people in different parts of the world. For those who did not know my dad, he was an exceptional husband and father. He was devoted to our family and he was a wonderful Catholic and loved Jesus and The Blessed Mother. Unfortunatly he passed away in 2014 due to stage 4 pancreatic cancer. It was due to genetics, and he fought until his last breath on this earth. He left my mother a widow and with 3 young daughters. I was 15 at the time and my youngest sister was 8. This business was the only source of income for my family. He put in so many hours, blood, sweat, and tears so he could put food on the table. I was very young at the time, and he taught me some things here and there. He had so much faith in this product and was an honest man. He knew this had the potential to make other car owners to be happy with their car presentation. “I am making liners all the time and will do so for a very long time to come!” 

"I wish to sincerely thank everyone who has purchased my aircraft firewall material hoodliners! My goal is to help car owners with their dirty underhoods. I've been doing these hoodliners since May 2007, and full-time since December 2010. After being laid-off from 3 jobs in 5 years I decided to concentrate solely on fabricating my hoodliners and go into business for myself as a means to support my family and pay bills. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications with emphasis in radio and TV broadcasting but have never worked in that field! I was a police 911 dispatcher for 12 years, then worked for a company that provides highway drive-time traffic conditions to the media, then for a Ford Motor Company website supplier, a short stint at a Ford dealership internet department, as well as freelance translating documents from Spanish to English.

As you've read in the About Me section on the left I came upon my hoodliner fabrication purely by accident and necessity, all through the grace of Almighty God. To Him goes all the thanks and praise, who is right and just.

Hoodliners.net exists solely through your purchases and I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to be able to help in my small way with your restoration and modification projects. I am a car guy who loves and appreciates fine automobiles! I've seen quite a few cars for sale at the MECUM AUTO AUCTIONS with my hoodliners on them and they look GREAT! If you're planning on selling your car at MECUM then why not clean up the engine bay with one of my hoodliners and decal?

This is the kind of mentality my father had and he wanted his business to outlive him. For 6 years the business was on hold, and now this is the legacy my father left for my sisters and mother and I. I thank God for the opportunity I have to continue his legacy and provide people the hoodliners they need. I know he is happy with me continuing his hoodliner business. I thank all of the loyal customers who have seen my fathers cancer updates and continue to send me warm messages, it does make me extremely happy to see what a tight knit community this is and I thank you all for welcoming me to it!
