A little
more than 13 years ago my dad ruined one of his favorite shirts while he was
under the hood of his ‘97 Thunderbird Limited Edition checking fluids - he
forgot the hood was above him and he stood straight up banging into it. The old
original liner was dirty, oily, greasy and falling apart. He thought to himself
that there must be a better material than what the car companies use to
insulate the hood. He found the aircraft firewall material and adapted it for
car use - it worked PERFECTLY!! The addition of a heat-resistant decal adds the
finishing touch. My dad was glad to be able to help car owners with cleaning up
their underhood! “I'm just outside of Detroit but I'm originally from central
New Jersey, the South Amboy/Old Bridge area. I've been sending my liners all
