Welcome to The
Duque Hoodliner production page! Our mission is to supply aircraft firewall
insulation hoodliners for cars such as Mustang’s, Corvette’s, Jaguar’s,
Mercedes Benz, Camaro’s & many other cars!
I fabricate
custom hood insulation liners from aircraft firewall material, which is a
material far superior to the original factory stock hood insulator. My hood
liners will not deteriorate or fall apart, they won't reflect heat back towards
your intake, nor do they absorb any under-hood fluids or lubricants. My hood
liners, which are FAA approved for use in military and civilian airplanes, are
superior to other aftermarket insulation. I make hood liners for Ford, Chevy,
Jaguar, Fiat, BMW, Bricklin, Chrysler, Dodge, Pontiac, Buick, Toyota, Nissan, and
Mercedes just to name a few.
Many satisfied
customers have sent me pictures of the final product on their hood so take a
look at some of the gallery collections. Click on the pictures to enlarge them so
you can see my aircraft firewall material hoodliners already installed on cars.
I've been to
a LOT of car shows and I've seen MANY, MANY dirty original hoodliners. I spoke
with several car owners and they're receptive and interested in having me make
them a hoodliner to clean up their underhood area. How about your car? What’s the
big deal about the hoodliner anyway? Because a dirty and torn original liner
will DETRACT from the appearance of your engine bay, no matter how clean your
engine is, chances are, your original stock hoodliner is probably falling
apart. Take a look at your original liner if you have one - can you use my
help? If you don't have a liner and your underhood gets dirty, could you use
one of mine? Want to stand out at a car show or a cruise/meet with my aircraft
liner and decal? People have e-mailed and called me saying the hoodliner gets
noticed before the engine and components! What a compliment!
Please read
the text info on the ABOUT MY HOODLINERS page for more info about my
aircraft firewall material hoodliners.
Don't forget
to read the TESTIMONIALS and the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.
I've read
through many, many online car forums, and have seen the frustration with your
under-hoods. But I have just the solution for you! You don't have to stay with
a stock liner, or even try to find an OEM stock hood liner replacement because
those are RIDICULOUSLY expensive, and they charge for oversized shipping. On
top of that the OEM replacement hoodliner will fail and get dirty again - mine
won't!
PLEASE NOTE, installing the hoodliner does require removal of the car hood and using 3M #80 spray adhesive.
Many of you guys do engine, transmission and rear end work on your cars, so removing 4 bolts to remove your hood and install my hoodliner is nothing compared to that! More information on this can be found on installation and FAQ's.

Hoodliners.net
exists solely through your purchases and I am eternally grateful for the
opportunity to be able to help in my small way with your restoration and
modification projects. You have come to the right place if you are a car guy/gal
who loves and appreciates fine automobiles! I've seen quite a few cars for sale
at the MECUM AUTO AUCTIONS with my hoodliners on them and they look GREAT! If
you're planning on selling your car at MECUM or elsewhere then why not clean up
the engine bay with one of my hoodliners and decals? They are sleek and classy
and extremely elegant. (Just telling the truth, not trying to brag.)
If you have
a show car or enter your car in shows my liner will set your engine bay apart
from the others. If your car is a daily driver this liner will still make your
underhood look great! It adds a cleaner look to your engine compartment. How
many car shows have you gone to or seen pictures of on the internet and while
the engines look super-clean the hoodliners are filthy? I've personally seen it
many times, I can remedy this!
what is the procedure for me to send you a template? i would like this for my m/b slk32. also a decal with the m/b amg decal
ReplyDeleteI can e-mail you the procedure, but basically it entails a dollar store shower curtain and a black Sharpie marker. You lay the shower curtain out as flat as you can, place your original liner on top of it, weigh it down with something so it doesn't move, then just trace around the liner with the Sharpie marker, indicating the mounting holes and any light cut-out or airflow openings. When you're done just fold the shower curtain up and mail it to me - I'll cut it here and make a new aircraft firewall material hood liner from that tracing. Very simple!!
ReplyDeleteI want to let you know I am 500% satisfied with the liner, and you! I enjoyed talking with you and I got the liner and decals in 2 days, took me about 2 hours to install (took me longer to find the 3M spray) and it looks killer. I will be letting all the car people I know about your liners as they are far superior to any factory mat and just look awesome. Thanks for taking the time to talk with me and getting the liner to me ASAP. For those that were on the 2010 Power tour I had the Black GTP that always had the hood up showing off the liner that said "supercharged" Thanks Gonzo...DW Dishman, Lone Jack, Mo.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much DW! I'm very glad and honored to have helped you out! Please mention my liners to whomever you can and point them to this blog page! Enjoy your hoodliner!!

Gonzo, just wanted to say your hood liners look great. I showed them to a few of my friends and they say they would like to purchase one for their car. So I will work on getting you some more business. I am also going to purchase one for my 2007 Mustang Stage 3 convertible. I was wondering about the decals. Can I send you an example of what I would like to have put on mine? Or do you just install the pony's or Roush insignia? Thanks and look forward to doing business with you soon. Ron W.
ReplyDeleteHi Ron!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment and also for spreading the word! I really appreciate it!
Please send me your jpeg and I'll take a look at it! Decals aren't limited to just the running horse or the ROUSH, I can have a decal made of pretty much anything! I do have the 427R decal as well.
Please e-mail me at tbirddmnd@att.net
Thanks again!!
I'm a owner of the new 2011 Elantra and the 2011 Hyundai Elantra does not have a hood liner although all holes are there for it and it shows in the owners manual (but not on any real cars).
ReplyDeleteCan you create a custom hood liner for a 2011 Hyundai Elantra? (would you rent an 2011 Elantra first to create a template?)
Hey those custom hood liners are really amazing, they are beautiful...

Lovin' the hood liner you installed on my MARAUDER. The most bang for the buck I've seen!
